Curiosity and Repitition

Curiosity within repetition brings intimacy - a deep knowing. Each sunrise is different, and with each walk and each yoga practice, I see more and feel more details. I remember writing something in graduate school about how I was more open when traveling, that it was easier to meet people, and I was more free-spirited. My professor asked me if I could be that way in my daily life. I've sat with the question for a long time, not as a question that needed to be answered once, but as a question that I need to ask myself regularly. How can I bring those parts of myself into my daily life and rhythms? How can I be curious and see things with new eyes and have new experiences, even if I've walked this path and done this yoga practice a million times? It is these questions that serve as a challenge to myself, taking care of my spirit when I have had to be still because of illness and now when the world needs to be more still. Through this process of being curious and seeing new details of the world around me, what do I learn about myself or the way I have habitually framed my views?
